GAST Series Pure Solid Silver Sauté Pan
Here is one piece from Soy's most exclusive line, the Pure Solid Silver Cookware line.
As Silver is the most heat-conducting metal in the Universe, you are looking at the most ideal piece of cookware on this planet.
Only our Silver-Plated copper cookware can come close.
These items are entirely handmade Sauté pans of professional thicknesses, for making everything & anything. They outperform our Pro Silver-Plated Copper Sauté Pans by 17% on heat conductivity, and are more resistant to corrosion and oxidation as well. This makes them the ideal cookware for on-board use, and for places with high humidity, such as in sea-front estates.
The main difference of this line with Soy's regular Cookware line is that it consists entirely of heavy-gauge 2.5mm - 999 Carat Pure Silver.

-2.0 millimeters for the GAST12 and the GAST16
-2.5 millimeters for the GAST20, GAST24 and GAST28
Differences from the Regular Copper Product
- The Silver Body:
Will be entirely made by hand on order, starting from Pure Silver Sheets rolled from Pure Silver Ingots, cast by ourselves, the form will then be shaped entirely by hammer and mallet, until the ideal shape is reached.
-Silver is the metal with the best heat conductivity in our Universe as far as we know it, making it also the most ideal material for any cookware or coffeeware.
-Our Silver is Pure (999‰) and is NOT Sterling (925‰) -an alloy of Silver with other metals- it henceforth does not carry any of the inconveniences of 92.5% Unpure Sterling Silver.
-Each product will come with an analysis and heritage warranty certificate.
-Aside of being a prime piece of professional cookware, these items are very good investment, as Silver is a precious commodity metal, that has immediate resell value, may one need to resell it.
-You may use them as recklessly as you wish, they will never defect on you, even if our products look like jewelry.
- The Handle:
Is cast from our own patented alloy of bronze, and has superior refractive qualities that keep it cold and touchable when the pan is on blazing fire.
-Is then mounted on the pan using 5x or 8x Pure Silver rivets, after being bathed to gain a 15µ Copper Plating, that will give it its distinctive pinkish hue, unique to us in the Industry.
The GAST12-16-20 come equipped with a single long handle, while the larger GAST24 and GAST28 are equipped with two handles, one long and one short, at each edge (see pictures)
- The Engraving:
The handmade Diamond-tip engraving is free of charge for all our clients on the Solid Silver line.

- The Packaging:
A fitting Semi-Hard Leather Case made from the famous Turkish Water Buffaloes, will nest the boxed product for shipping and a tracking number will be provided as soon as the item is shipped.

For a more pleasant color contrast we recommend you get the matching copper-silver lid.

Silver is by far the most conductive metal on Earth. Copper is a close second! This is because silver and copper only have one valence electron, which is free to move around with little resistance. As a result, both copper and silver are fantastic electric and thermal conductors.
What it entails for cookware is that the heat coming from the heat source will not heat the cookware locally (from where the fire hits, typically a spot in the bottom) but wherever the heat source hits the silver / copper product from will not matter as the heat will travel all over the cookware including the walls and the lid to radiate the heat inside just like an oven would do it.
Practically that means that if the copper and silver are thick enough, no hot-spots can ever form on copper and silver cookware items, even on top of the highest BTU’s of industrial stoves, meaning the pan / pot will be naturally non-stick.
The absence of hot-spots due to perfect heat distribution will also come much in handy when cooking very sensible material that would burn rather quickly (finely chopped vegetables, rice dishes or butter for example) as one will not have to constantly stir, since all parts will be cooked equally – as opposed to inside a steel pan /pot, if not stirred heavily, one part will burn while another part will stay uncooked.
Use:
- Please contact us for use on induction
- Do not use your Soy in the microwave, copper & silver are metals after all!
- Do not use metal utensils or scratch your Soy as it will remove the platingHand-wash your Soy and do not put in the diswasher.
- * Use mild dishwashing soap and do not use metal sponges or the green side of the sponge
- Given the nature of the metal, both copper and silver will change color and tarnish as they get used & upon contact with air, water, and acidic ingredients.
- This is totally normal and doesn't affect cooking properties.
- They are still safe to use and there is no health risks.
- If you want to get them back to their original state, just rub your Soy with a lemon sliced in half, covered with table salt or baking soda.
- Rinse it with warm water, dry it and voila!
- As with cart-iron skillets, a light coating of oil before storing protects it over time.
- This method works on both copper and silver.
- You can also clean your Soy with ashes (cigarette ash, fireplace ash, etc.).You can also always use food-safe silver polish.
- We recommend brands like Hagerty or Goddard's.
